Maintenance of Weichai engine turbocharger

The performance of Weichai engine supercharger broken

1.The oil leaks, the oil consumption is large, but the exhaust smoke is normal, and the power does not decrease bai.

2. The oil consumption is large, the exhaust emits blue smoke, but the power does not drop.

3.The exhaust emits black smoke, the power drops, and the supercharger makes abnormal noise.

4.Bearing damage, turbocharger bearing damage, engine power drop, high oil consumption, black smoke, and the turbocharger cannot work in severe cases.

Matters needing attention

Because the turbocharger often works at high speed and high temperature, the temperature of the exhaust gas turbine end of the turbocharger is about 600℃, and the supercharger rotor rotates at a high speed of 8000-11000r/min, so in order to ensure the normal operation of the supercharger At work, pay attention to the following points in use:

1.Do not leave the car. After the engine is started, especially in winter, let it run at idle speed for a period of time so that the lubricant can fully lubricate the bearings before the turbocharger rotor runs at high speed. Therefore, you must not slam the throttle immediately after starting to prevent damage to the turbocharger oil seal.

2.Do not turn off the engine immediately. After the engine has been running at high speed for a long time, it cannot be turned off immediately. When the engine is working, a part of the oil is supplied to the turbocharger rotor bearing for lubrication and cooling. After the running engine suddenly shuts down, the oil pressure drops to zero rapidly, the high temperature of the turbocharger turbine part is transferred to the middle, the heat in the bearing support shell cannot be taken away quickly, and the turbocharger rotor is still rotating at high speed under the action of inertia. Therefore, if the engine shuts down suddenly when the engine is hot, it will cause the oil retained in the turbocharger to overheat and damage the bearings and shaft. Especially to prevent the sudden flameout after a few kicks of the accelerator.

3.Keep it clean. When disassembling the turbocharger, keep it clean. All pipe joints must be blocked with a clean cloth to prevent debris from falling into the turbocharger and damaging the rotor. During maintenance, care should be taken not to damage the impeller. If the impeller needs to be replaced, a dynamic balance test should be performed. After reinstallation is complete, remove the blockage.

4.To clean, because the turbocharger is often running at high temperature, its lubricating oil pipeline is subject to high temperature, and the internal oil is prone to partial coking, which will cause insufficient lubrication of the turbocharger bearing and damage. Therefore, the lubricating oil pipeline should be cleaned after a period of operation.

5.Pay attention to maintenance. Before leaving the vehicle and after receiving the vehicle, check the connection of the air ducts to prevent loosening or falling off, which may cause the supercharger to fail and air short-circuit into the Cylinder.
